I've noticed that a handful of users have threads in the breeding forum offering to genetic test other users' pets. I've also read the "guide" thread on the conventions of it, and it is (understandably) considered rude to request a large amount at once from free testers.

TL;DR, is there even a demand for mass testing? Or does everyone who mass breeds also own their own exceptional genetic test kits? I own a test kit and I'm thinking of making a thread specifically for people who want lots of pets tested at once, and I just want to know if there would be any level of interest whatsoever or if I should just... not bother.

I think it depends on what's considered mass testing... And the answer to that is probably subjective.

Prior to getting my Exceptional Genetic Test Kit, I did have a couple of projects on the go and was sometimes seeking to have 10+ pets tested at a time (there was one incident when I had even more because I'd been on holiday and hadn't had time to get the pets tested as they hatched so I was seeking to get them tested once I got back)... The kind users in the Breeding Discussion did help me out but I always felt bad approaching them with more than about 5 at a time... I suppose it would have been nice to know if they were willing to accept say, up to 25, in a single request as its clear before you even ask that they're not providing the service because they feel that they can't say no (which is something I always worried about).

I suppose if you consider new users, its cheaper to start a project than it is to buy a Test Kit so I wouldn't be surprised if many users have quite a number of pets tested before they resort to their own Test Kit.

Alright, cool. I guess I'll make a post and see who bites. ^^

Thanks! <3
