Friends for Life Rescue Network Official Facebook Page
Friends for Life Rescue Network is a group of cross-country rescuers, animal lovers, and advocates coming together to rescue cats and dogs. While our network is across the entire United States, our individual rescues take place in Los Angeles, California. I am the founder of the rescue and we are currently in the process of obtaining our 501c3 Non Profit status.
Since our creation in February of 2015, we have rescued close to 60 animals across the country, maybe more. In May & June alone, we pulled 14 cats & kittens from the highest kill shelters in Los Angeles. All 14 were on the euthanasia list due to upper respiratory infection (a cold). Yes, something as simple as a cold will cause them to be added to the list because its highly contagious and CAN be deadly if not treated.
This update thread is for anyone wishing to stay updated on pictures, general updates, adoptions, etc of our adoptable rescues.
If you would like to be added to the ping list, please post saying so. Ping List:

Fundraising/Donations
Rescuing is incredibly costly, especially when the bulk of your rescues are sick with upper respiratory, pneumonia, dehydration, fleas, etc. Not to mention regular vetting costs such as spay/neuter, vaccines, and microchipping. Adoption fees only cover a portion of the costs so we rely on donations to help us continue to rescue.
If you would like to donate and help us with our life saving efforts, please donate via paypal to FFLRescueNetwork@gmail.com

The Cereal Box Kittens
Three tiny 3 week old kittens were found abandoned in a cereal box. After days of hearing their cries, a woman went outside and found them hiding in the box. There was no mother cat in sight. Finding them extremely malnourished and flea infested, she handed them off to a friend of hers. That friend contacted Friends for Life Rescue Network for help.
Upon arrival, the kittens were bathed, fed, and flea treated. They didn't quite understand how to eat on their own; often dunking their entire face into their food and trying to suckle on it. They were promptly moved into foster care and affectionately named, Capt'n Crunch, Lucky Charms, and Honey Bunches.
Over the next several weeks, the continued to grow and improve. They started kitten kindergarten class and learned how to walk on a harness, obey simple commands, and tolerate belly rubs and paw massages. These kittens are now available for adoption.
Capt'n Crunch
Capt'n Crunch is the model student of kitty kindergarten class. He's the most social, friendly, and LOVES to give kisses. He's also a fan of 'air biscuits'. He is a 4 month old tuxedo who may be receiving an application for adoption very soon!
Lucky Charms
Lucky Charms is the biggest lover ever! He's calm, super sweet, and prefers to follow you wherever you go. He's the gentle soul with a big heart. His turkish van markings are absolutely adorable, especially his tail! He also may soon be receiving an adoption application!

Savannah & Kittens
Savannah and her 4 kittens were in an extremely high kill shelter. They were all listed for euthanasia. We rescued this litter MINUTES from their scheduled time to be put to sleep. They all had a massive upper respiratory infection. Two of the kittens, Maddy and Biscuit, nearly died from the infection. Their fevers were high and they had stopped eating. With the help of a very amazing vet and foster, we were able to properly medicate them until they became healthy.
This family has moved from foster home to foster home due to their size until they finally found a foster willing to care for them long term until each one gets adopted. Biscuit (calico) and Cricket (black) have found their forever homes together!
Savannah
Savannah is one of the most beautiful, calmest, loving mamas we have had in our care. She is a STUNNING girl who loves kneading in her favorite plush bed. As soon as she sees you, she runs over and rubs all over you. She trills at her kittens and chases them playfully. She is the MOST content when her babies are in the same room as her. We are hoping for her to be adopted with one of her remaining daughters.
Maddy
Maddy is a GIANT. At 3 months old, she is nearly the size of her mother. She's double that of her siblings. She's an extremely playful kitten with a lot of energy. You will see her zooming around everywhere! She's the little troublemaker. Despite her independence, she loves being held like a baby. She will give you lots of little kisses! We may be receiving an application for her soon!
Shelby
Shelby is the most shy kitten of her litter. She's very attached to her mama. You will often find her cuddling with Savannah or romping around with Maddy. Shelby also loves heights! She climbs to the tallest place she can get to and observes everyone below. She is very big on sleeping belly up and showing off that beautiful spotted belly!

Darth Vader
Darth Vader is Xena/Bruce's brother! Originally named Willow as we thought he was a girl. He was EXTREMELY feral when he was trapped at 8 weeks old. He was a hissy, spitty mess. His foster specifically asked to care for a feral due to her experience with them. She has done an AMAZING job! He is now an affectionately sweet boy. He loves to kiss his fellow foster kitties and is a huge snuggler. He no longer fits such a 'dark' name. He currently has an adoption pending but it may take a few weeks due to the onset of upper respiratory infection. Unfortunately, with kittens in close contact with others, its common for a re-occurrence of a kitty cold.
