I'm not really new the site, but there has been this thing that has me confused, we have a task log, but I don't even know what a task is or how to get one. Help?

Once you get to Ethernia in Astryl's Vale you'll be able to accept tasks. The task log is where they're "stored" and where you go to finalise the tasks once complete. The tasks are things like; defeating a certain number of enemies; collecting / clearing a certain number of items; finding a lost puffadore; etc.
