i have a question about the genetic testing tool that you can use to identify if you pet has any hidden traits i used this on my hatchling. before i used it he had no traits (no mutation no gene) after i used it, it revealed so many genes and mutation does that mean all those traits are carriers if so how comes its profile before i used the genetic testing state its gene was a carrier as it tells you that the gene is visible because you can see it
please tell me if you want me to clarify what i'm saying as i know its a bit much
also the test showed me my hatchling had genes and mutation that neither of its parents had visible, can someone explain how that happened please

Traits that are in regular text are traits that the pet has. Mutations do not appear normally until after a pet hatches.
Traits that are in italics are carried traits. That means that offspring has the possibility of showing it, but the actual pet itself does not have it.
A genetic test kit reveals what carried traits a pet has. It's still there if you don't use one, but you just can't see it. The parents of your offspring must have had carried traits, which were passed down onto the hatchling to become a visible trait.

oh thank you you have been such a big help today i really appreciate it. you said text that are italic (slanted) indicate its a carrier but will the italic show only if you use the test and is there other ways to identify ur pet having hidden genes instead of using the genetic testing

Not that I know of. The carried traits won't show on the pet itself, but it'll just reveal that offspring have the possibility of having those traits.
There are certain Genetic Test Kits that you can use over and over again, but those cost a lot of diamonds. There are some people who are really nice and would test your pets for you, most of the time for free.
