Newbie here, obviously. I have several questions that I've been trying to find the answers to but to no avail, unfortunately.

1) Where can I get more genetic testing kits?
2) I know tamed pets don't necessarily go for a lot, but is there any chance I could get some money for these two or their possible kids, and if so around how much?
3) I noticed pets seem to recover health on their own from time to time, when does this happen and what are the conditions for it?
4) How do people seem to get so many copies (10-20+) of the same exact egg?

1) How do you find tagged pets in the wild? How can you tell that they're themed?
2) Do tags get passed down when breeding? I'm asking because I bought this cutie yesterday whose parents are both tagged, but he appears not to be.
3) What is the purpose of genetic testing?
4) Is there any way to shuffle eggs/hatchlings when nurturing random ones so that I'm not getting 100+ pets from the same user?
5) Are the eggs in the scale shop worth it? Do they hatch into anything special?

I know I'm going to have more questions as I remember them, but this is all for now. Thanks for answering!

1) A tagged pet is a themed pet that appears during festival periods. So you cannot find them in the wild except during festivals, and during so, only in a specific festival zone. The exception to this will be in the new up-coming mega-zone, where the admins will put special themed into that zone.

When you encounter a themed pet, the activity log will write that you have encountered a rare pet (in purple), as compared to the usual you have encountered a wild pet (in red i think). When you catch them, the themed pets will have their theme name in purple in their info. we call these tagged pets.

2) No, Tags do not get passed down through breeding.
You can check if a pet is a purebred (meaning all its ancestors are purebred/tagged of the same themed, thus retaining the theme's colours), by viewing the pet's lineage.

Purebreds have no tags, but most users give them a higher value than normal pets. especially if they have a lot of genes.

3) Genetic testing allows you to see the all the exact traits a pet has.

For example, if the dad is AA for gene 1, and the mom is BB for gene 1, the kid will be AB.
Without genetic testing, all you will see is that the kid is visible for A in gene 1, and the advanced search will show AA. but after genetic testing, the advanced search will show AB for gene 1.

Also, carried traits (italicised in the pet profile) will not be shown in the profile unless the pet has been genetically tested.

4) no, there is no way to shuffle the eggs/hatchlings. they appear in order of their pet ID (newest to oldest)

5) If you do nurturing regularly, and am willing to take a gamble, scale shop eggs can be quite interesting. You'll never know what you'll get, and sometimes you'll get a nice surprise. all the eggs from the scale shop can be any non-fabled species though. No fabled pets.

Also, the general rule is the more scales it cost, the more traits the pet is likely to have.

There's a relatively old thread where some users posted the pet they bought from the scale shop, including the amount of scales it cost, and the amount of traits it has. I don't think the admins change the scale to traits ratio, so it should still be accurate. But I haven't bought anything from the scale shop for a really long time, so i'm not sure. =/

Hope that answers your questions. =)

Absolutely does answer them, thank you very much! Just two more quick questions, if you don't mind:
1) Is there any estimate on when this megazone will be out?
2) When is the next festival?

We felt that it has been quite awhile since an update has been shared with everyone regarding the Megazone, so we took a screenshot of a tiny part of the zone so that you can see how the new artwork is coming about. So here ya go!

It's not much, but it's something. =P

We are still chugging along and getting things put together piece by piece. The zone will offer a lot of new features/systems that we think everyone will enjoy working on and collecting. The zone will contain both site-wide features that all players will share as well as personal progression features that you yourself can work on. All in all, we hope to give everyone hours and hours and hours of content.

I'm about to begin working on the pinnacle feature (Hint: it's related to the construction site that you see in the screenshot!) of the zone so I hope that in a week or two I can give another update with some more meaningful information lol. So everyone can look forward to that!

In regards to the Garden, all planted pets were harvested this morning and should now be sitting in everyone's Hatcheries. You can check your Account Notifications to see the specific pets that you received.

Lastly, in regards to the Summer Festival, we still do not have a date or any information about that. But it's looking like it will run quite late this year... so I'd guess sometime in August. Obviously, our focus is on the Megazone atm and we are working to get that released before the Summer Festival and we can't work on both simultaneously.

So they're currently working on releasing the megazone asap. the next festival (summer fest) might be out around august, the megazone will hopefully be released before that.

The main festivals we have are spring, summer, autumn, and winter. But we have short festivals for valentine's and st patrick's day. The main festivals usually last at least 2 weeks, with a lot of activities planned. the smaller festivals can last a week, or sometimes just a special sale period.
