Yeah I had a hard time making my dog into a sylesti because he has 'rose' ears |D But great danes are such beautiful dogs!
And I think little dogs get a bad reputation =3 I know many that are extremely sweet, affectionate and playful!
And I love shi tzus! >3< My mom's friend has one and I always enjoy seeing her when he go spend a weekend up at their lake house. And you must be very proud of your husband =3 And I'm glad you had some furry friends to keep you company until he came home from his tours :D
And oh my goodness! xD She does sound like quite the little devil! My cat tends to hiss everyone too, but she's more like Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde because to everyone else she's the devil in furry cat pajamas, but to me she is the most loving and affectionate pet I ever had =3

I don't think I've ever heard my cat hiss at anything but her brother. He wasn't all that nice to her. He had attacked her on several occasions, I guess she she finally had enough. With our little family she's good with us all but with strangers she hides til they leave. Crazy as it is I'd love to get one more dog, something to play with the dane but for the time being she plays up and down the fence with the neighbors dog. Those two will run all day. Most the time Gracie beats her friend to the end of the fence lol

It doesn't sound that crazy =3 A bigger dog to play with Gracie sounds sweet! Because, yeah, your little dogs and cat don't make very good play buddies |D And that sounds so adorable! xD I think its great how dogs can play and keep each other entertained like that and not care at all that there is a fence separating them =3

Believe it or not her favorite dog to play with of ours is the wiener dog lol. I have to keep a close eye on it though just because when Gracie gets excited its scary but she's usually pretty good about it. We have a small yard for the little dogs and Gracie runs the 2.5 acres but in the house they all mingle and get along well.

Years ago I had a boxer named Stella and a male cat named Bubba that had been declawed. Those two were best of friends. They would wrestle and Bubba would hug Stella and bite her push his face in her neck. They would play for hours, so cute.

xD Well your little wiener dog sounds like something else! xD Then again, they were bred to be hunting dogs......only I don't think bugs and birds where what the breeders had in mind xD

Not really your typical bird hunting dog but she enjoys it. She sits and barks to show you where the birds are in the tree. That dog has put me through tests though. Last year she got out of the little yard and stuck under a building. We thought she ran away so we put up signs did a search. One evening we were sitting on the porch and we hear faint barking so we walked around again. She had gotten stuck under this pig shelter in our yard. She had been there for about 24 hours in 120 degree weather with no food or water. My husband went to borrow a chainsaw but I couldn't bear to hear her sound so weak and every time she barked she hit her head on the floor. I got a chisel, hammer, and flat shovel and dug through this hard wood floor to get her out before he got back. My adrenaline mother bear genes had kicked in I guess. But that little dog was so thankful and I sealed in my place as the bestest lol

Oh man! Poor baby! Good thing you and your husband worked fast to get her out though! :D
