Hi I am quite new ( though my account is old) and I need some help about expanding party's. I do visit the town but the button for expanding parties is grey, so I can't press it.
Please help I am in a battle with 3 bandits and I keep losing.

You can expand your party to three when you get to Sanctuary of Saerielle in Umbra Forest. Its pretty pricy so make sure you save up :)

Hmmm you probably haven't completed the task that unlocks it for you in Esior's Haven. I think its made available after you finish Trollblight Caverns. Have you completed those quests yet?

Have you tried going to the sylesti plaza in esior's haven?
I think you should be able to expand your party to 2 by now... seeing you're at the part where you fight against 3 bandits...
There's a trainer there that lets you increase your party and mission limit for a fee. If you still can't, you'll just have to keep playing the game and check back there after a while...
Also, I took a quick look at your pets, you might need to reassign points and change some equipment. I think you should take a look at this guide on how to equip and assign points to party pets here: https://www.sylestia.com/forums/?thread=11101
In summary, always choose between intelligence OR strength. The two have no use together. So if you add points to strength, don't add any points to intelligence. Equipment should match the points you add. So if you add points to strength, find equipment that adds more points to strength instead of those that add more to intelligence, or split points equally. Likewise, choose a proficiency tree that adds to the same stat you choose to increase. So choose a strength proficiency tree if you're adding strength.
