It can be a pain to organise auctions on threads so was thinking of having an auction system like Flight Rising, except you put in a Starting bid and a Buy Now Price since Flights Risings auctions are actually straight forward sales. (Found that out the hard way, it looks like a proper acution but isn't, very misleading xD)
Or have like another Trade Broker type thing except the tabs could be;
Browse Auctions, Your Bids, Your Auctions, Transaction Log and Auction Till
Browse auctions ~ could be like the trade broker crossed with advanced search.
Your Bids ~ What you have bid on, coloured green if your winning the bid, coloured red if someone bid higher; shows end time, buy now button (with are you sure pop up) and the current price of the bid.
Your Auctions ~ A list of what sylesties your auctioning and end time.
Transaction Log ~ Same thing as the trade broker
Auction Till ~ Same as the broker till ^^

This has been mentioned a time or two.
FWIW, I liked the system Neopets used. Basically you have an Auction House/Trading Post, whatever you want to call it. You go into the Auction house and can set up an auction for whatever you have items wise- in this game it could be pets, avatar items, potions, basically anything you can sell now plus maybe diamonds. You can put multiple items in the same trade, or just one thing. If I remember correctly there was a ten item limit to what you could add, but I may be mistaken about that.
This shows up on a board where all the auctions can be searched for, by item, user etc. If someone wants to offer on it, they can click an icon and offer up one or multiple items/pets/gold/diamonds of their own, or any combination of the above.
If you get multiple offers on your trade, you can accept or reject them individually. If no one offers, you can take them out of the auction just as easily.
I have no idea how difficult it would be to code it, but their system is one of the most straight forward I have seen in a game. Marapets used a very similar system last I checked.

I'd be cool with this as long as it doesn't get filled up with junk auctions...which tends to happen a lot sadly.
Not sure what measures would be in place to stop that.
Lastly, I think this should be just for pet auctions and not item auctions. The trade broker is sufficient for such already.
