My guess is that it was simply caused by all of the work that the admins are doing on the site. Considering all of the problems we've been experiencing lately, I wouldn't doubt it.
If you are concerned, you can always change your password by going Account>Settings>Change password.

Random log outs shouldn't be something to be too concerned with. They happen every once in awhile. One reason is if your session expires. If you're log in session is over 2 weeks old, it will log you out. There are other log outs that happen and I haven't pinpointed the issue, but suspect it may be related to Comet Chat and if so, there's nothing I can do about it.
But yes, as already suggested, if you are concerned, you can just simply change your password to ensure that it's safe.
