Hi all who stop by this little thread. I understand most of the breeding project things and have a few started. My big question is on themed projects. During the last fest I decided to take on the delphinium nixi and purple sipderwort nytekrie. I just realized I ended up with 23 of each species, 13 females and 10 males for both species as well. My question is how many themed does it typically take to do a project? Of course considering I have the traits I want. Thanks to anyone who can offer a little insight on this.

I don't know the most efficient/effective way myself but I'd suggest having a chat with Barcode454 or Xavion. There's a thread that went up in General Discussion today with the aim of listing the first user to complete themed 6-vis projects and Barcode454's and Xavion's names come up a couple of times.

I'd have thought you could run it on the same basis as any other project... The number of each species required would depend on the number of trait points they each carry and you'd have to make sure that you've got something in G1 - G3 and M1 - M3 across the selected sylesti. I can see it getting a bit more complicated if you're looking for specific traits (particularly if you've got multiple sylesti with genes / mutations in the same spot as you'd then need to factor in for dominant/recessive traits, etc).
