I need help im new to sylestia and i really want pets, and ive heard people talking about catching pets. how do you do that? can someone tell me how?

To catch pets, you need to buy snares from the market of towns you come across.
(In your case, since you are new, you're still at Esior's Haven? c:)

If I remember correctly, you can just re-click the explore/world map and it will bring you out of that region?
(It's been a lil while since I was there ^^; )
