Okay so I feel slightly awkward about sharing this, so sorry if my English is worse then usual XD

Okay, so I have a really weird mental state and it causes me to get hugely stressed for no reason.
Because of this I have to drop a lot of things which are fun but get me stressed (for example The Pound I ran for a short time, both times closed because of my mental state), because the stress then leads on to more frequent emotional breakdowns and immune-system crashes.

So I was wondering if anyone had some tips for stress management?
Because I feel like I really need to find some way to control my stress and not just keep running away from things that make me happy, just because my mind freaks out over the stress.

Sorry if this a really weird request, I just don't know a nicer community to ask ^_^'

Maybe try meditation or burning incense. I really don't know how to help you much, but if you're looking for another community to post this question, you can try virtualteen.org. Here and there are the two places I go a lot. They have different forums for different topics, might wanna check it out it's been really helpful to for me

Alright, i have GAD on top of living an averagely stressful life, i'm still figuring it out myself but i do have some tips. Of course, if anything can't apply due to situational/financial limitations, ignore it.

First things first. If your mind is racing, especially before bed, stop yourself. Ask yourself if you can do anything about the things that you're thinking about. If you can't, then remind yourself there's no use focusing on them. Is there stuff you can do? What can you do right now, and what can wait till morning, when you're rested and have a fresh mind? Do the things you can do now, then lay on your back and focus on breathing. Breathe in through your nose while counting to four, imagine your torso is a balloon and feel it fill up. Then breathe out through your mouth while counting to six, feeling the balloon deflate. Let your body sorta sink/melt into the bed/floor as you breathe out. Focus on this over and over till you feel relaxed, and then fall asleep thinking about things that make you happy. I literally have a 'happy place', i sorta calmly poke out the details and i knock out(even with insomnia)!

Breathing deeply helps during the day, as well as being aware of your body and keeping yourself hydrated and fed. If you feel tense or a muscle is tightened, conciously relax the muscles. Drink lots of fluids, especially water! It'll keep you from getting worn out and your risk of getting sick doesn't skyrocket. Same with eating food, try to limit junk/processed food and get some fresh stuff in there, and at least eat a good breakfast with protein. It's as important as sleep.

Sometimes relationships cause you stress. You might try taking a look at the people in your life and if their involvement in it is hurting you and if they're worth keeping around. Everyone has toxic people in their life at some point, even if they don't mean to be, and you have to find a way to cope or get out or it can affect you in the long run. Even taking a break from someone or a break from voluntary social interactions for awhile might help.

Also, take breaks! Imagine your life is running a marathon...could you run for an entire day with no breaks?

And maybe try having a keychain, jewelry, a rock or something on your person that you can hold and feel when you get upset, to help you focus on that when your mind is racing.

This got loooong. Hope something here helps. I have too short an attention span for meditation, but incense is indeed nice. I like sandalwood and jasmine a lot!
