The more i play Sylestia, the more i wish we had a button that would complete all our completed missions for us. Missions are my main source of income and i'm sure i'm not the only one. But i find it a bit tedious having to complete each mission individually and i don't really understand why we don't just have one button, that does it all! :D I'm not sure if it is possible, i don't know the programming and code stuff very well XD But i think if we could get a button like that, it would be great. Especially for somebody like me who's computer might lose the race to a snail. And, a little secret, shhh... I try to refresh my missions in class sometimes and it doesn't help that it takes so long and so much clicking because then the teacher gets suspicious :P
Like the 'accept all non-cod trades' button we have in the trades section, that's a beautiful button XD
Has anybody done a thread about this? I hope i'm not being repetitive ^o^

xD Yeah this has been suggested a lot of times. I think they'll do something about it when they re-do Sylestia. c: So expect this to be resolved in 8-12 months.

I've seen this suggested many times and I always make this one point.
While having one button accept all missions would be nice, there's a thin line between making a game easier and more user-friendly....and making a Sylestia that plays itself. The admins have to be careful because we all know that when games get to that point, where the game plays itself, it's no longer fun or challenging. I know that I've personally ditched many games on sites and on Facebook because I had gotten to a point where there were no big things to challenge me and I was just doing boring daily things and grinding. I hate throwing away all of the work I'd put into sites [I usually unexpectedly end up on leaderboards on some games for like, most currency collected because there's nothing for me to spend it on. 9.9;] but those games just end up being drains on my time, energy, and computer.
Krin did add buttons for collect all non-COD trades, quick keys in the new area's battles, and I think there's plans for making an open all option for things in inventory, but out of fear for this site becoming boring, I prefer that some things be left to be done manually. I mean, we have to be expected to do SOMETHING, right? lol
Sylestia is a lovely site that I've watched grow and expand over the last few years. I've been a member on here since two days after the site went live and I'm very proud of this community. Updates are coming regularly and there are big plans for the future. I have so much trust and pride in our admins [more than any other site I've ever been on!] that they'll do what they can to balance user-friendliness and ease for this site.

Yes, and i am totally aware of that. Sylestia is fantastic, i think it'll stick with me my whole life! XD
This is just something that would particularly be helpful, and i don't think it is to big of a deal if we click each mission individually or click one button for all. But yes, i completely agree with your point :)

Honestly I have never quite understood why this argument would be applied to something like this. So far as I am concerned... having to click on EACH individual mission, and go through a pop up on each blasted one, is just plain tedious. I get most of my income from missions as well, but this just takes so much time doing basically nothing but clicking (I certainly don't read any of it any more, just click click click away) that i fail to see how this enhances the game at all. It's just boring, and makes the game more like work than fun. I play to have fun, not give me more work, lol.
Now, in battling, I can see where too many short cuts plays the game for you. I would support keeping that more involved and interesting. But collecting missions? Streamline that sucker please, make it easier to do and more people will do it, and there will be less griping about how "difficult" it is for newbies to get started and all that.

I see what you're saying, but when I think ahead, the next thing I see being asked for is a button to send pets on missions again. Like.... a resend button. Automatically sends a pet on the mission. Too much auto!
But yeah, I do understand what you mean. Once I worked up a good amount of gold and fests started running close together, I stopped doing missions to keep my pets in my party. I've been doing a lot of spending lately and need to accumulate, so I'm doing missions again and I am being reminded of that tedious click-clicking.
I compare it personally to this. My family owns a consignment shop. We're doing very well with people cleaning out their attics and closets and bringing us what they don't want to deal with anymore. We take the stuff in, we tag it, we sell it, we deal with it. My mother caught me helping people unload their stuff and, once they'd left, she told me not to do that. I'm automatically a very kind and helpful person, so I didn't quite understand why she'd want me to not help. She told me that throughout the process of us taking in and selling things, unloading the stuff is pretty much the only thing that the consignor is tasked with- we do everything else. Of course, we help if something is heavy, but with regular stuff, they can do that themselves and we'll take it from there on out. My mother told me that my time was better spent up front where I'm taking care of putting tagged items out and helping customers.
I guess I'll twist that to mean that, although the clicking is a bit tedious, we as the users benefit. Also, this is overall a minor thing. Krin and Fai's time is better put to the big reveal, am I right?! We're expecting a big relaunch that will come with all kinds of new updates that we've been waiting for for a while! Updates to profiles, test breed with other user's pets, Mega zone, new zones, raised level cap, new features, Oh goodness I get excited just thinking about all of it!

I think we may have to respectfully dissagree here, lol... and for what it's worth, you kinda proved my point. What you are talking about is WORK. This is a game, lol. If I'm not having fun with it, I will stop playing. If enough people do the same (or just never get into the game because it's too tedious), then Krin and Fais hard work ends up going bust on them. Soooo, while I understand where you are coming from, I really don't think this is the place to make the process more tedious.
Put it this way, in battles, it's kind of exciting, the thrill of beating up your opponent, potentially finding a pet you want to try and catch in the zone, all that... there are other things to keep you interested and the rather boring grind of the battle itself is offset by those other things. With missions... it's just work. Now in REAL LIFE, we have to put up with that to make a living. In a game? I submit developers should streamline that process or somehow make it as fun as possible. The mission system we have now is quite simply boring. Doesn't need to be exciting, but if you combine boring with a useless grind of click, pop-up click ad naseum, well that does turn people off the process, and if you want to keep people in the game you need to minimize boring people with something so simple.
I do agree that a "resend" button would be too much, and honestly it probably wouldn't work anyway, unless your breeding stat pets that can do any mission that comes up, lol. For most of us though, we have certain pets for certain mission jobs, so a resend button would be rather useless. Even if it were though, that is the one interesting part of the process for me, lol. I'd probably use a resend button if it worked, but I see what you mean about that being too much. Collect all completed missions though? That is one button I would very much like to see.
FWIW, I'd be much less happy to see it if we simply didn't have to click through all the blasted pop-ups, which I personally have no use for. All that information the pop-up gives you when you click on complete mission is all in the log. If you want to see it, you can click on the completed mission to get it, so I see no reason for the pop up. Besides, when my computer is in a mood... these stupid things regularly crash my browser. I would love to be able to avoid them. Anyway, without the pop-up, completing the mission would be as simple as just clicking on each box, which would be just fine by me. I'd have no problem with that. But the pop-ups are what make the process tedious, and on a slow old comp like mine, potentially browser crashing.

Ah, yeah, I see what you mean. I just have an intense fear that things on here will end up being too easy. I adore this site and community and hate the thought of leaving because things got too easy and boring. Seriously, outside of this site, I rarely get that "respectfully disagree" comment from people! [I enjoy getting into political arguments with people /shrugs] and I don't want Sylestia to stop being awesome.
Krin and Fai are planning on revamping the first two zones entirely to make things less complicated and difficult for new players, and I'm sure that they'll make changes to missions.
I do agree that the pop-up appearing every time is a bit overkill. I probably would do more missions if it weren't for that.

lol, well I am old school in some ways. I was taught "criticism" is a good thing, so long as it isn't mean spirited and personal. Most people these days can't seem to grasp that concept. *shrug*.
Now politics? That seems a sure fire way to get people angry, only topic more devisive is religion *grin*. I tend to be pretty opinionated about things in general, but usually open to discuss things so long as people keep an open mind, and don't take things too personally. That usually flies out the window with those two topics though, lol.
