I think something helpful would be if the creator of a thread would get a ping whenever someone posted on his or her thread(s). Not everyone knows or creates proper pings for the person who made a thread, and for auctions or contests, that could make it very difficult to keep track of responses because there is such high response to threads.

Also, I think there should be a way to delete threads that are closed, for example when a contest or auction is over.

In essence what you're asking for is the ability to "follow" threads like some other forums have, if I'm understanding correctly? I'd like to see something like this as well, but on an individual basis so that you can choose which threads to follow/which threads to watch manually. There may be some situations where it isn't required. XD

I do believe there is a section on Krin's to-do list that incorporates some kind of bookmark feature to follow specific threads. Don't know when we'll see it, but I do think it's forthcoming at some point eventually.... XD

Well, not just following threads that you've bookmarked, but, more specifically, following threads that you created
