Newbie here, so I'm sorry if anything here is common knowledge! I caught an Aeridini with colors I liked over the festival here, and I bought a lesser genetic mutator to use on him just to see what would happen. At first when his image and info didn't change I assumed carried traits were invisible on the info and would appear as "None," but I've since seen sylesties that had traits in italic for carried (right?) so....now I'm not sure what's going on! The little icon for "this pet has been genetically mutated" is there and everything...

(Thoughts: when I tried different genes out on him in the generator beforehand, the ones in slot 1 didn't seem to appear at all. I assumed it was a quirk of color, but maybe this is a bug that has existed beforehand that I wasn't aware of and it just so happens that he "got" a slot 1 gene?)

I am not sure about the not showing up part but I do know that if a gene is carried it shows up as none. Then you have to test a pet for the italics to be revealed. I know that some people in the breeding section offer testing services, some for free, so you should look there if you don't have a genetic testing kit. If you want I can even look some links up for you.
