I've been seeing a lot of users that use genetic testers on their hatchlings in order to see what genes they have. Where can these be acquired other than the trade broker? I haven't found any in map shops yet, but I've also only reached umbra forest.

You don't find them anywhere else, sadly. :( Festivals gave them out as low tier prizes as the only source.
Best bet is just asking someone in the breeding forums to test your pets with their exceptional tester. Hope it helps!
