Hello!

First of all, I apologize if I posted this in the incorrect forum.

I'm hoping someone on here can point me to a guide for making projects from essences. I have read this guide but it covers the bare minimum and I'm looking for a little more info before I generate the starters for my first project. :)

Info I'm looking for:
- How many essences are typically used when creating a 6V project? I have heard 4-6 (enhanced) or 8-12 (regular)
- When you are using 8 or whatever regular essences how do you generally match up the pairs in the most efficient fashion? Are they all visible mutations or do you generate some pets with carried mutations?
- Are there any naming conventions that are helpful?

If there are any guides out there that cover this type of info I would be most appreciative of anyone pointing me towards it! :)

As far as my breeding maps go, I believe a 6V is possible with only 3 essences (minimum) if you generate 2 males and a female... It takes longer though. So a female offspring of the first two parents with 4 carries could be mated to the third generated male to get a 6C and then breed about the family trees from there to bring out traits... Like I said slow and tedious but it could pick up speed once you get some other female offsprings.

Thanks for replying :) I know it's possible but I was looking for more what's average. The couple times I've brought it up in the chat I've gotten responses that people use like 8-12 regular essences, etc. and so I was wondering if anyone had put together a guide explaining that kind of thing. I understand the minimum but if I want my project completed in less than a year (I'm probably exaggerating here :)) what do people generally use?

It's a really good question actually, and I wish I had a better answer for you. I'm skimpy on my gold so I always go with the 3 method.

If you were going to use more it would probably be best to try and breed for 4 carries first and see if you can increase it to 6 carries in generation 3. Then cross lines to have a good amount breeding with as many carries as possible to increase your chance of vis, then phase out the carry breeders for ones that have more vis.
