Nevermind, a friend showed me how to fix it.

I entered a normal encounter battle trying to finish the spire story. I encountered a three star rare/uncommon (can't remembere) creature. I attempted to capture it and after I used the capture snare, it disappeared. I thought I had caught it until I realized A: I was still in the battle screen, and B: I couldn't use any attacks or items. Thinking that it would go away, I logged out. That was around +4 hours ago. I am unable to do the festival, use any items, do any missions, and anything else you can't do while in a battle. Every time I attempt to go into a area I go back to the battle screen with no enemy's. Can someone please explain/fix this? It is truly frustrating.

For anyone else with a similar issue, using the 'Stuck in Battle' button should resolve this issue.

If not, or as an alternative method, you can just have all of your pets use the 'Block' ability for one turn.
