How far removed do two pets have to be before they can breed? (I'm working on a project to breed a 6 vis, trying to not use the one I bought, but I will if that's my only choice due to not being able to breed certain pets together due to being related)

Edit: I've seen a pairing where the two had the same father I think....but my friend can't breed two pets with the same father, so why?

The pets can't share a same parent.

So no parent-child, sibling-sibling breedings. You might want to confirm if the pairing you saw was correct, cause if the had the same father they shouldn't be able to breed....

the parents of this sylesti share the same father and they bred together to create the child. Which is far back in one of my pet's lineages.

ahh.... it's a super old pet.

I heard at the start of the game, the only breeding restriction was parent-child. Then after a few months or something, they changed it to shared parentage. But the old pets that were already bred will remain as they are.

I haven't started playing this game at that time, but that's what I heard. So this pet is probably from that time. That'll be my guess.

I wish they had a faq for breeding (or if they do, I've conveniently missed this)...I was only looking through it to figure out the restriction on breeding...and found that thing which fits a breeding I was denied XD So I had to be like wat?
