I have been looking for tagged pets and I roamed the festival area for well over an hour without seeing head nor tail of any themed pet. Is there anything I am doing wrong or is it just luck?

it's luck. the tagged themed pets are random encounters. so each time you encounter a pet, it has equal chances of being themed as any other time. you might meet a few in a row, or you might wait hours before seeing one...

You might want to make sure to check the log when you see a pet to see if it's themed

I checked but I only got enemies :( no rare enemies, although I did find a Rose Blossom Aeridini last festival.

well, I haven't managed to find any themed in the past hour or so either. xP

It's all luck of the draw.. there have been times I'll explore for hours on end with no luck and there are times I'll get back-to-back themed. You're not doing anything wrong, just having sine bad luck. Keep at it and you'll never know what you'll find.

I remember a fest last year I had spent almost 8 hours in one day without a single themed.. I was just about to give up on festivals all together when I found a rare Nephini.. ended up selling it in an auction for $80 worth of gold and diamonds. Of course, that's not at all typical hah.

Thanks! Since I posted I have found three themed (a Male Budding Kelpari, a Male Fresh Earth Vulnyx and a Female Sparkling Stream Sylvorpa) after many hours of exploring the maze and festival grounds, I even had the themed attraction perfume on but I only found one themed with it!

Nice! They are out there, just stubborn.. heh.
