If you regenerate a Zolnixi with 12 GP, but leave one of the slots empty (using only 10 GP), could you then use a Greater Genetic Mutator to get one of the new genes/mutations? Or would the system see the Zolnixi as using all slots since it has 12 GP?

I'm afraid to test this, but I made a beautiful design that needs an open slot.

The points are calculated in 'real time'. So if it has a blank spot, it will only calculate as 10 (if the other 5 are visible of course).

Mutators only work on tamed pets. :)
