You have two 2-digit integers, x and y.

Where y is the digits of x reversed.

And x2-y2=m2

m is a positive integer.

Find x, y, and m.

Hint: 10*d1+d2

Aww Nightbane what about this one? The one in the contest took me like an hour, this one took like 5 minutes.

There's 3 guys and a box. Inside the box, there's 3 white hats and 1 black hat. Each guy picks up a hat randomly WITHOUT looking at it and puts it in on his head. (gross right?) Then they are standing in a line looking straight ahead like this.

Bob says, "I have no idea what color my hat is"
Tom says, " I have no idea what color my hat is"
Jim says, "I know what color my hat is!"

HOW DOES JIM KNOW?!

What color hat are each men wearing?

None of the men are blind or stupid. All of them always looked forward in that order, never behind.

NO, Jim is not a giant and there is not a mirror in front of them.

NO, the picture doesn't reflect the colors of the hats.

No rewards for this brain teaser, just for fun. You can post here if you want

And no making fun of my pathetic attempt at drawing...

yeah, 3 white hat, 1 black hat, the percentage of obtaining a white hat is 75% chance whilst the black hate is 25%, which makes it more likely to be the white hat.

Because neither of the other two saw Jim's black hat (and thus realized their hats had to be white by process of elimination), Jim gets to conclude that his own hat is white.

So assuming:
Bob is looking at Tom
Tom is looking at Jim
Jim has no one to look at

If one of them saw a black hat in front of them, then there's only white hats left, thus the men would know in that instant there's only white hats left and they'd be wearing what's left.

if Tom had a black hat, Bob would know that his would be white because there's only one black hat. But he doesn't know, probably because Tom has a white hat. (so 2 white hats and 1 black hat left)

If Jim had a black hat, Tom would know his would be white as well. But because Tom doesn't know, Jim's hat is probably white. (1 white hat 1 black hat left.)

So for Bob, there's a 50/50 chance he'll have either a black or white hat.

...but I'm not solving for Bob's hat, but for Kim's logic, I guess aha

(edit: Jim not Kim)
