I was thinking, while I was hatching eggs, that it would be nice if there was a way to help increase your chances of hatching that egg into a specific gender before the egg hatched. Or a lesser gender bender philter you could use on your pet after the egg hatched if you don't like the gender. It would not always work, and maybe you could buy it from the scale shop.

Now that I think of it. It might be good to have philters you can use on eggs before they hatch to slightly increase your chances of getting more genotype points. Like if you have a 25% chance of getting a vis in a slot, this would increase it by 10%. If you have a 50% chance, it would increase it by 8%, so you have a little more than half a chance. There can be a lesser that increases your chances in one slot (like a philter of vigor), and a greater (like the prismatic philter, it affects all stats), that increases your chances a little bit for each slot.

I don't like the idea of increasing gene chances, as it kinda breaks the game and most of the need for breeding.

But I do like the idea of a philter to be used on an egg that can increase the chance of the gender you want. Maybe something that has it's effect stacked so the more you use, the more likely is is? A greater and lesser would be nice as well. Such as a Greater would be a diamond shop buy that assures a gender but at maybe a slightly lower price than a normal gender bender since you don't know for sure you will want to keep the baby that hatches from the egg and a lesser version that increases the chance of the gender you want by maybe 5% each used that is a scale shop buy. I think more than that for a scale item would be a bit OP.

Every suggestion for game-breaking philters that change anything about traits [ie, make carried into visible, swap traits, etc] has gotten noped. There's a thin line between making the game easier and more user-friendly and letting the game play itself. The latter games get boring really fast so we don't Sylestia to become one.
The gender one sounds interesting, though.

The trait philter idea is super interesting! But also I don't think it'll work the way you described it. As far as I can tell, new pets are generated as soon as you hit the breed button, not when the egg hatches. Traits, colors, gender, stats, etc are determined 3 days before the egg hatches. So this would essentially be the same as the other philters suggested to improve gp, but used on eggs instead of pets.

I really like the idea of a philter that improves the chances of a certain sex hatching :O A stackable feature would be cool. I don't think that a diamond version would be necessary (that'd be the genderswap philter yo)
