I bought and used a Magical Pie on my Windchaser Luffox yesterday when it was at 19 days old. I read it's supposed to boost the age by 6 days but that didn't happen for me :( my Luffox is at 20 days old today so I don't think it worked.. is this a bug? Am I able to get my diamonds back or can the age be boosted manually? D:

It doesn't say it worked on the actual age.

You check the maturity of the pet via its URL. It increases by 144 points when you use a pie.

https://www.sylestia.com/image_builder_pet.php?species=luffox&breed=sylesti&gender=male&gd1=NN&gd2=NN&gd3=NN&md1=FF&md2=NN&md3=NN&ec=098cfa&c1=502d19&c2=b98b74&c3=f9a408&gd1c=190801&gd2c=26180f&gd3c=f8cc4f&md1c=021f5a&md2c=041c59&md3c=f7db83&maturity=623&owned=1&size=500

That's the only way to see that the pie worked.

Yeah, the fact that there's a difference between age and maturity is pretty confusing. >.<

Haha yeah I was thinking the amount of days old would change or something. It'd be cool of that system was kind of merged together to avoid the confusion :)

I know that age is days old. This has no effect on the stage of the pet. I remember this being really thrown off when we had a BIG maintenance that lasted a few days. Hatchlings that were 9 days old! The maturity, which can be viewed in the image url, is how far developed the pet is. Here, this is how I understand it:

When you look at a pet and their image location/image url

Look at maturity:

https://www.sylestia.com/image_builder_pet.php?species=aeridini&breed=sylesti&gender=male&gd1=BB&gd2=AC&gd3=FF&md1=AC&md2=AA&md3=NA&ec=e38fdc&c1=131e37&c2=f5eed8&c3=ee836a&gd1c=878c6d&gd2c=7e93d3&gd3c=f3f56d&md1c=f7ede8&md2c=f9b6b6&md3c=abd1d7&maturity=648&owned=1&size=250

When a pet is fully grown, that number is, as is here, 648. I can never remember what numerical values equal different stages [someone else will have to post those], but that number never goes above 648. That's probably why there are separate systems for maturity, to determine how old the pet is in the game, and age, to determine how long the pet has existed. Like, captured pets are further along. They'll be adults right away, but only a few "days old," ya know what I'm sayin?

hatchings > 72 hours
adolescents > 216 hours
adults > 648 hours

Like Yumi said, the difference between maturity and age is that the former is the "breedable age" of the pet, while the latter is a record of how long the pet has been in the game.

Apparently, you can't see the maturity of the pet unless it's generated, or genetically tested. (just found out about this recently since I always test my pets =P )
So if your pet is an adolescent, and is not tested, it can be anywhere from 216 hours to 647 hours.

Another incentive to get a tester I guess? =P
(or just ask someone in the breeding forums to help test xD )

I once had a hatchling (I think) that was like 11 days old when it finaly turned into a adolescent (it happened a few times I believe with my nixis)

Hmm.... If I had to guess, I'd say that there was maybe a maintenance at some point while the hatchlings were growing up. Logically, that would make sense. Age is simply how many days the pet has existed while maturity is how developed the pet is.
