Some of you lovely people may have seen and/or participated in my game thread: The Eggling Games, and a sudden realization for me was that there isn't much fun if I don't constantly get feedback and make it hopefully a better experience. So this thread is solely for feedback: how I can make things better, possibly? And game ideas: I hope to get a few suggestions from everyone, as well as some games they maybe don't particularly enjoy so I can make a list and cater to everyone.

Regular Sylestia rules still apply, be respectful and don't go, "You likee blah blah blah? WhAT???!?! Thats weird, it's kinda lame.." or something, please! Let individuals be individuals.

And nah son, im not doing this because im partially out of ideas also.

Hi Red. I can't remember if you participated in my game centre, but I've noticed many people started creating their own after mine became successful (I had to abandon it for a variety of reasons unfortunately).

I think what you have now is a nice idea. The theme and inspiration from Hunger Games is relevant and I know when I ran my game centre people said they really love eggs as prizes. They liked the idea of raising an egg to an adult on their own. Your prizes seem nice, your rules are simple and straight-forward and you've picked something unique to your games thread.

Something you may want to consider working on is the overall look for the thread. Something you know how to easily code but gives a little bit more of a design flare. Right now the post titles are a little overwhelming and the lines (~~~~) under them trail off into 2 lines. If you like using the squiggle-y lines maybe consider using fewer and centering them, like so:

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Using the dark red text is a nice idea, maybe add a brighter colour for accents (for example you could make your squiggle lines bright red) and to draw the reader's eye to important points.

If you're happy with your design, maybe some of these games would appeal to you or your players:
- A big adventure game. Mine was a hit, but you need to be super organized and dedicated.
- Pick a door. This was also a hit in my thread. I suggest finding nice images of doors and re-colouring them.
- Raffles.
- Pick a number.
- Murder mystery. Similar to an adventure game but maybe have someone act as the killer and everyone else needs to guess who it is. Everyday the group guesses wrong someone is kicked out.
- Secret Santa.

I've always wanted to try and host a very interactive game, where players interact with each other or compete against me but could never figure one out for my thread. Maybe try finding 3rd party websites with live games where others can join in and compete. I've played Cards Against Humanity online with friends before but that one isn't really... appropriate... for everyone.

If you need any advice on running a smooth games thread feel free to ping or message me. I have about half a year of experience at least. :)

P.S. Make sure the contestants thank you. I grew tired of being pushed around and people asking for more than what they got... try and not be a pushover like I was and enforce that rule of kindness and gratitude. It gets old fast.

Edit: Make sure you are having fun. Host stuff that you like and are really excited about. Hosting my giant adventure was the most fun I've had.

Thank you, for taking the time to write that. Evrything you said was correct, and I'm trying to grow a bit of a backbone but it's hard because I'm not used to reinforcing because I care about making people like me- not a good thing, in life or in game- but i'll take everything into consideration! I really enjoy you sharing what you did :)

Instead of trying to get people to like you think about what you enjoy doing. If you don't enjoy it frustration will come. The purpose of your games thread should be enjoyment/entertainment for you and others but also the need to give back to the community. If you don't want to give back to other people then what is the point of this? If there are other reasons then the thread will die.

But you also need to stand your ground. If you stay firm and not give into those who don't appreciate what you do then you will enjoy the thread much more. With your enjoyment comes a long lasting relationship with those involved in the thread. If people don't like the prizes then they don't need to participate. You are giving things away and in no way does anyone have the right to demand more. You don't need to be rude about it, or completely tell them off but instead politely decline and say, "I do what I can."

Also never feel obliged to always host a game and give out prizes. Don't let the quality of your gifts spiral downward just to get a game out. If you have nothing to give at the time, then just don't do anything. Wait until you find something you don't need but could still be valuable.

One of the things I enjoyed most about hosting my thread was seeing how pets I didn't need, especially wheel offspring or tagged pets, made someone else so happy. I know many people still have the pets they've won and that means a lot to me. I don't mind if pets get released as long as they were once enjoyed. Don't ever take offense to someone releasing a pet. If they were named or bred to it means at some point they were useful.

Hope what I've said was helpful, good luck and enjoy... put passion and heart into everything you do.
