Due to this event I have gotten a TON of Essence, particularly Aurleons. I have 5 Aurleon Essences and I had originally stacked them to save space in my quickly filling inventory tab, well now I'm thinking of selling some of them, however they are in a stack, and if I were to try to sell them as is it would be all 5 of them. Is there a way to unstack Items?

Select the essence stack, hold shift, and click an empty spot.

Just a slight clarification, you have to hold shift when you select the item. If you select the item and hold shift after, it will only move the item.
