what is the stuck in battle button for at the bottom of the exploration screen? how do you get stuck in battle?

Sometimes you can get into a battle against no enemies. The button was added a long time ago when the issue was more prevalent. I don't really think it happens anymore, if at all. And if it does, you could just have all of your pets block to end the turn anyway.
