Astrid narrowed her eyes, her metal-like claws unsheathed. She had been on the streets for months now, almost a year since her mother had died. Her father, Daken, had abandoned them when she had been an infant, leaving her startled mother alone to care for their mutant daughter. She stopped- that scent . . . it was the same one that had been following her for the past few days. She turned toward it, claws glinting in the moonlight. "Who's there?"

Ciftra stepped out of the shadows holding her own blade. "I am Ciftra of Asgard." She held her sword away from the other girl to keep from making her think that she was an enemy. (Sorry is this okay and sorry it's short. I don't know what to do....)

Narfi watched from the roof top, amused by the scene. "Well done ladies!" he claps. "it took you days to finally meet! I expected a little more from an Asgaurden though." i mock her. "and just why are we to all meet here?"

Astrid frowned, "Why have you two been following me?" She remained in a defensive stance, but sheathed her claws. "I'm/i] here because I was told to come here. They said they had something to tell me . . . something important." Astrid turned toward the Asgardian, "You say you mean no harm, yet your weapon is still drawn. Looks to me like you don't trust me."

Narfi laughs at this. "it's not a matter of trust! Asgardins live for war, death, destruction! I never really liked living in Asgard let alone the people there, after what they did to Father. Tell me friend do we happen to fall together today in New York?" he ask leaning on his staff.

Ciftra looked at the girl. "It is not a matter of trust towards you. It is a matter of readiness, in case our enemies choose to attack." She holds her weapon behind her to make it obviously so. "And besides if I had meant you harm we'd be fighting right now." She turned to the man. "Is that so? I hardly live for death and violence somethings are just necessary."

Narfi was suddenly angry. "You call banning my father necessary! He did no one any harm!" he shouts. his staff glows a deep red, but then it soothes. "Narfi you just need to calm down." he whispers to himself. it may have been the fact that he had been alone all these years that he found it hard to talk to people, but what ever the case he could never forget the punishment that his father received. He had not meant to kill that boy, but only was fending for himself. More that once he had been mocked, teased by his peers for the bad things his father had done. The boy had went to far, far enough that he was going to rid every one of Narfi, he was going to kill Narfi. the Lokison then took maters into his own hands thus killing his challenger. Thor, King of Asgard, then banned him just as he banned his Father, Loki. Narfi would never forget that day, and planned to seek revenge on Thor and all his children.

(I totally messed up with the italics . . .XD)
"Sounds like you've had better family than I did. Don't complain- your father never left you to fend for yourself. The last time I saw him was . . ." Astrid paused. When was the last time she'd seen him? Five or six months ago at least, if not longer. " . . .It was a long time ago."

Ciftra wonders about this other man. He seemed a little upset with something. "I do not know what you speak of but I had nothing to do with it. It was the action of others." She said to him calmly. She listened to the other girl. "She is right. You at least know your parents. Mine left me as a child." (And I lost my train of thought on this XD)

Astrid crouched, absentmindedly drawing in the dirt with an unsheathed claw. Look- this is getting nowhere, and it seems to me like none of us feel like talking about the past . . . can someone tell me why youve been following me? After a moment she added, This isnt about that bet I made with Loki, is it? Cause I wasnt being honest about paying him if I lost.
