Female has been sold. Male is now up for a public price.
Time to take my own advice on breeding for traits before I muck things up...
First attempt on breeding two ideal results for Coal Griffi? Failed. But those cute little buggers have been staring me down with their shiny ember eyes and I just can't think of a proper price tag to stick on their adorable little faces. So, I'm taking offers. The images link to an adolescent preview of the pets, to show how they will look when no longer adorable little hatchlings with big, beautiful fiery eyes that I find so hard to turn away. (Must not hoard... must not hoard... must... resist...keeping... the griffalumpkins..! x_x)
The male has three genes - Tiger, Monarch, and Frost Runes.
The female has three mutations - Dragon Tail (Stripes,) Majestic Regalia, and evil ideal-offspring-ruining Feathered Wings. The only trait that's wrong on her.
These two pets arebreedable, which is exactly what they were bred to do. Imagine my excitement when they hatched male and female, and the following bitter disappointment to see that the traits did not fall so graciously in my favor. Such is the struggle that comes with recessive traits... That said, I will sell these as a pair for a substantial enough offer, but I would be just as willing to sell them to separate homes.
For those who are curious, their traits can be seen as visibles below (remember, these are all carried traits and thus not visible on the pet itself, but the what-ifs are pretty and useful if thinking of a breeding project.) Lower still are the results of all six traits being visible, which would take substantial breeding but is still an attainable goal.
Offer away! (While I continuously remind myself of the stunning 6-vis male and female that I'm striving to breed, so that I can let these two go without regrets.)
