I remember bringing this up a long time ago but I went through 20 pages on this forum and couldn't find it.
I just hatched this boy:
I'm really happy with his traits and colors and have been posting him around a bit and showing off his traits when he'll grow up:
He reminds me of different colors in the sky at different times.
Now, his wings. In the hatchling image, His wings are pink, yellow at the ends, then he's got the blue tips trait. That yellow goes away when he grows up and I think that he'll look much prettier if the yellow stayed. It would really tie his image together.
I remember bringing this up and it had something to do with color codes being mixed up somewhere. Two codes were swapped or something.
Same thing is happening with this boy [Little easier to see]:
The yellow comes from color 2 and is then switched out for color 3 [or that's what it looks like]
I like the way the yellow looks on both of these boys and would really like it if it'd stay.
This girl is much easier to see it on:

Looks like that's how it's always been. Looks like it's the babies that are incorrect.
I took a look at the old image builder file and it too uses color 3 on the adults instead of color 2.
I will have to edit the hatchling's layer files because they were designed where the base colors are all grouped together it looks like. So I would have to separate and change them around to make them match the adults.

Ah, okay. So, would I be able to dye a slot and get that yellow into the spot on the adults that it's in on the hatchlings? Like, on the first two I showed. I really like the yellow on the ends of the wings on the hatchlings and wouldn't mind dying something to have it like that on the adult. Er.....hmmm......Dying the slot that colors the ends will change other things wouldn't it....well balls.
Thanks for looking into this again. It's a minor thing but I'm pretty big on the Aeridini design and I have a bunch. That one color layer change really does a lot to the look of the pet.
