-Not sure if this is in the right forum; if not, could an admin please move it to the correct one?-

I'm starting my first breeding project, and I wanted to know if a female with a carried trait on G1 and a male with a different carried on G1 can breed to have a baby with a visible trait. For example, if a Nephini with carried Swoosh and its mate carried Leopard, could the baby have a visible Swoosh?
Also, if there are any guides that you find particularly helpful, please post them or PM the link to me! They would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Nephini that carries Swoosh: NA
Nephini that carries Leopard: NC
You can find the lettering the easiest in Advanced Search, filter Species and look in each drop down menu for gene/mutation.

Against a punnett square:

edit: assuming you know how punnett squares generally work, but I can explain further if you'd like!

NN: no vis, no carry
AN (actually NA): no vis, carried swoosh
NC: no vis, carried leopard
AC: vis Swoosh, hidden Leopard (a carried trait behind the Swoosh)

So yes, it has a 25% chance of being vis Swoosh. :)

I'll try to find a link other than Xav's guide, since you already found it, if I see it helpful aha
Willow's quote about finding carries/hidden traits is nice

Ah, thanks!
Are some traits dominant or does the order of the letters matter somehow?

Traits are dominant based on the letter of the alphabet, A being most dominant, and the later ones being recessive to each other in that order. ^^
A>B>C>D, and so on

Also, newest traits that are released (ie new genes/mutations like...Swirling Snow on Nephinis) go at the end of the chain of recessives, being the most recessive compared to the older traits.
