I'm confused I have an eggling in my inventory that should not be there. Unless I'm mistaken it should be an actual easter egg or not there at all, but not one for the event hunt O.o I got the egg AFTER all 2000 eggs for this hunt were already found and I turned in all my eggs. So It shouldn't be an eggling right?

After all eggs are collected, and until the battle raid begins, you can still find, collect, and even turn in more egglings. 8>

You can get Spring Surprises by battling so that may be reason that egg popped up.

Spring Festival Egglings are only awarded during Stage 1 of the Spring Festival Eggling Hunt (this includes the wait period after all Egglings have been turned in).
Once the event kicks into Stage 2, the Spring Festival Egglings can no longer be handed out.
Decorated Silver Egglings and Spring Surprises can be found at any time.
