I broke up with my boyfriend so i could ask my best friend on a date. My best friend is MtF trans and i truly love her.
Is it bad or weird that i did that?

No, it's not bad or weird, not at all. If you love her more than him, than I see no reason why shouldn't ask her on a date. You should be able to date who you want, and not worry what others think in my opinion.
