I have an avatar item showing in my inventory as 0. The item is Baby Yeti - Wilber. I stuffed him in somebodys stocking. My browser is Chrome and I cleared my cache. He is still showing.

The item was consumed, just not removed from your Inventory.
Using the trash can icon on your Inventory page should remove it.
