I've noticed that this fest has a significantly lower drop rate on tickets. :(
I think this is because the Named and the stand in Evil Elf are also dropping baking ingredients instead of just tickets, AV items, and tokens.
In previous fests, on a full day of grinding the fest area I could (with a bit of luck) get 20 tickets. Now it seems, I'm supremely lucky, if I even make it close to 10. I've also found on previous wheels, through spamming, that it can takes 50-100 tickets to get ONE wheel pet.
So unless the probability of getting a wheel pet has been at least doubled this fest, I'd like to see the drop rate on tickets increased, please.

I noticed this and I totally agree about the frustration of ticket drop rate being so much lower due to the addition of ingredient drops. Maybe the Named shouldn't drop ingredients, only avatar items/tickets, with the ingredients coming only from the stand-in elves (ingredients/tokens/extractors/rarely tickets). Makes more sense to me anyway, just my opinion though. :/
All in all, still having a lot of fun with the fest.

Iif less tickets are getting dropped *because* more bakery ingredients are getting dropped - I haven't participated in the bakery, but doesn't that give you a chance of a special pet? Not a wheel pet, but probably themed/tagged, right? So maybe it all evens out.

Not at all.
At the rate bakery items are being dropped (look at the broker in miscellaneous to see just how much there is; 100+ pages of baking ingredients and that's just what's being sold on day 4 of 19), the bakery pets are not going to be anywhere close to the rarity level of the wheel pets by the time the fest is over (except perhaps the GC Neph), let alone the rarity of the Mojo pets from last fest.
By definition, something 'special' is something unusual. By the end of this fest, the population of the Bakery pets is not going to be unusual.

We intentionally lowered drop rates on the tickets for this festival compared to the last (which saw an increase from the festival prior).
We carefully consider these decisions, so it was not without pouring over our data and thinking about rates and percentages.
Simply put, we felt it was in the best interest of the integrity of the wheel to make the change.
And, going forward, we'll go through the same process for the next festival.

I think we should at least increase the drop rate of avatar items compared to the ingredients. I'm really cautious to make any of the bakery pets because I don't know what I'm getting from them, not having any kind of reference to look at. So far in this festival I've only gotten 3 or 4 of the new items and I groan when I get MORE baking ingredients.

That's where the community aspect of Sylestia is supposed to come into play.
We greatly anticipated a huge economy for the ingredients/spices and tried to tailor them for that. Since our Trade Broker was essentially breaking from the added stress, it seems we were right lol.
If you have ingredients/spices that you don't want, try trading them for avatar items from other players.
Or, you can simply just sell the ingredients for gold and buy the avatar items with that gold.

Just thought I'll add my two cents.
I'm honestly really happy with the drop rate of the avatar items. I don't have a lot of the items yet, but I like this drop rate. Instead of it being like previous fests where the avatar item drop rates are so high, within a week, most people have multiples of most of the items, and the items practically become useless with no resale value.
At least now, some items are being sold relatively cheaply, but are not "dirt cheap". And not everyone collects all the avatar items anyway, so there is still the method of acquiring the items one is missing by trading/buying. Or just keep hunting them bosses till end of the festival. =)
Having more tickets would definitely be nice. But we do need a limit to maintain the value of wheel items/ pets... xP
