I rolled in bed and groaned. I hate when my beauty sleep is cut short. I let myself relax, thinking over what I was supposed to do. 'Just get up...and turn on the computer...and log on...'

My body ached from sitting up in bed. I scooted towards the edge, where my computer desk idled. With a tap of a button, it whirred to life, but the fluorescent color of the screen made me squint.

Once it was done booting up, I opened the usual internet browser towards Sylestia, a game I was addicted to. It was a pet game, to be simply put, but it caught my interests and I got hooked on it pretty fast. I've been playing it for quite awhile, an early beta player like many others. And as a very special beta player, apparently I had to be awake at 1am to be part of a very special meeting. Or something.

ok, what do you want. what was SOO important that you had to disturb my sleep.

I flailed my arm out to another desk. I couldn't in the dark, so I had to feel for my giant helmet that was sitting near me. My hand thumped against a hard, plastic-covered surface. I dragged the helmet over to the front of the computer and placed it over my head. While still off, I waited on the chat.

Once I clicked it, along with some several other admin commands, my NerveGear started to boot up in preparation to log into the new world. I laid back down in bed, giving a pillow a nice, cozy hug, and closed my eyes.

Flashes of light washed over me, a bit of an eyesore for my somewhat sleepy daze. It all faded to a dark navy blue, the color of the midnight sky in Sylestia. The scent of fresh grass and the feel of a cool breeze swept by, feeling surreal in this world that was created by over a million lines of code and imagination.

I waved my hands to pull up the basic user interface. I checked the chatroom that I was in before with the rest of the crew, and surely enough, they were all there.

A swish of my hands pulled up a menu, from inventory to map to whatever the basic necessities of the game were. However, the logout button was grayed out. Thinking it was just the UI not displaying it right, I tapped the logout tab repeatedly, but to no avail. Frustration mounted within me. I really wanted to go to bed.
