Don't hate me for this, just a suggestion. But what if there were sylesti plushies? That would be cute!

Anyway, yes it would be cute, but I very much doubt it would be feasible. At least not any time in the neat future. It would be a big expense to get it started, and as awesome as our admins are, I don't think they could manage real life merchandising in addition to everything else they're trying to do right now.

Plus, if it ever was implemented people would want to have them customized to look like their pets, which would make it even more difficult.

If they did end up having merchandise, it would almost certainly have to be done on a case by case basis, and would have to be very expensive for it to be profitable.

If this site ever does get big enough though, I think plushies would indeed be cute. As would other merchandise. But right now, I don't think it's a good idea.

Real life plushies may never be feasible, but I don't see why wearable plushies for our avatars wouldn't be. They wouldn't be customizable and come in basic colors. Chances are they wouldn't have any visible genes either, like the Ryori On A Leash items. They could sit on our shoulders, our heads, or on the ground next to us. Something simple for every species so that everyone could have their favorite sylesti with them.

Alternately, collectable plushies as items could work as well. If they needed a purpose, I'd imagine that they'd work similar to philters. They'd only work on hatchlings and for a much lesser stat boost. Personally I'd just love to collect them, I don't think they *need* to be able to do anything other than look cute.

If real life plushies were ever A Thing though, I'd totally be down for Ryoris.

I've actually been working on a Qitari plushie, though the going is slow, since I can't seem to find a good pattern, so I have to make my own.
(and yes, I am talking real-life ones, I love sewing XD)
