Are you looking for advice on starting and progressing through a project? If not I won't say anything, but if you are I can help you out and describe how I would approach a new project.

I would love some help!

It is a 5-vis project. It is 2 Genes and 3 Mutations.

I have already done 2 couples. A boy and a girl have the same 2-carry genes, and the other couple have 2-carry Mutations.

Then I would like to make another couple with the last mutation visible.

So then I can breed all the babies together (when they all have the visibles they need) and boom! The 5-vis project is done!

And then the ones I got the project from, I breed them again for the other gender and then the 5-via babies come in!

At least this is what I have in mind. I don't know if I am not doing this right or the REALLY long way.

There is not "right" or "wrong" way to breed. The questions I ask myself before starting a project are:
1. Do I want this project done ASAP?
2. How much money am I willing to spend?

The absolute minimum essences required for any number of visibles for a project is 3 regular essences. That means there will be in-breeding and it will take a lot longer to breed your wanted outcome... but in the end you can still produce a breed-able pair.

I personally like to start with 1 male and 2 females because you get more eggs. The second generation need to be males and you would breed those males to the opposite female. You continue alternating genders and breeding with older generations until you have your desired result. I also like to keep any females I produce. You can use them later and the more females mean more eggs. The more eggs mean the higher chance of producing your perfect outcome from the pair for that breeding day.

Xavion has a guide here talking about exactly what I described. They talk about 6 visible breeding but you can apply the rules to any number of visibles.

Thank You!

I had seen that forum, but was too lazy to read it.

So... Do I star over? Because I have 2 boys and 2 girls.

NO! Like I said, there is no wrong or right way, that is just how I like to do it because I save a lot of money on essences. The downside is it takes a long time.

I would proceed with your plans, and do it how you planned because you already know what to do. This was more for future projects you don't mind working on for a long time. :P

Oh ok, Thank You!

Will try to do this for my next project! (Maybe it will even be a 6-vis project)

And with your method, I only need 3 essences?

Yup. 3 regular essences is the absolute minimum.

Goodness, my memory is horrid. I just sent you the gender-swap philter. Holidays and everything made me forget and I had to go back through the forum to find you again. Make sure to jot us down like in the first post or maybe on your profile. Just in case someone forgets like me. ^^
