My suggestion is to rename the "FAQ (For Newbies)" subforum to "FAQ". I'd also love to see the thread "Tips for Newbies" to be renamed to something like "little questions" or "tips".
So many people use the forum and thread when they're not new, and that makes sense because there will always be questions no matter what level you are or how long you've been here. And I see over and over people saying "I'm not new, but..." - and the fact that they have to qualify it like that means that there is at least some discomfort with the idea that they're posting in a "newbies" forum. I'd say it'd be best to remove the reference to newbies altogether as I can't see an overriding reason to keep it.

We put that there so that new players could more easily figure out where to go.
And I don't think Newbie is a negative title; we were all new here at one point. =P
But I guess we can consider alternative titles.

*nod* I don't think it has to be a negative thing either, but it seems like a lot of people do based on how often people feel like clarifying they're not a newbie. I think just "FAQ" would be enough for newer players, but if it weren't, maybe say something like "FAQ (Newbie Friendly)" so that newer players can have their eye drawn there and so they can feel welcome, and at the same time other people don't feel as awkward posting there.
Thank you for the reply!! :D

IMO is that because it says (for Newbies) it's not saying that if you post there you're a newbie... It feels weird because it SOUNDS like it's a place that's for Newbies and ONLY for newbies... Like, no veterans allowed.
It took me ages when I had a question to post on that forum because I thought only newbies were permitted to post there and that I was going to get in trouble for posting and not being new.
So when veterans post "I'm not new but..." it's like 'I know I'm not new, so sorry for posting, but I really want to know...'
