Spirit of Corruption- The spirit which corrupts sylesti's souls. He eats the light out of their souls and makes them completely evil.


Spirit of Purity- The spirit which keeps the kind-hearted sylesti's souls pure. She works hard to keep sylesties good.


General Goldshine- Owner of the S.O.P.D.S (Souls of Purity Demon Slayers), the Spirit of Purtity in sylesti form.

Prologue

Do you want to hear why some sylesties are evil while others are good? Well my friends, it's because of souls. Souls have a protective film of goodness around them. All sylesties start out good. It is when they go through terrible things, losing a love, getting beaten, being around those with corrupted souls, that they start thinking corrupted thoughts. These thoughts get down, sink into the soul, slowly chipping away at the protective film. If a sylesti finds a true love, or a big source of happiness the thoughts could dissipate with all the merriness. Happiness could also lead to a stronger protection of the soul. What happens when the soul's film dissipates, you ask? The soul becomes corrupted, or tainted. Tainted souls kill for fun, hear voices, become insane, and only do things for personal gain. Now, the Souls that get tainted eventually become the souls of demons. Sylesties who become demons can never be reasoned with, and just kill. There is one way to stop them: kill them. Sylesties with tainted souls can be reasoned, even get new films and become good. But when the reach demon soul, there is only one thing to do. How can you tell if they become demons? Madness and Gibberish come out of their mouths, they won't listen to you, they will smell like blood, sometimes their eyes become red, their pelts darker, they lose the shine a sylesti has.
