Ok So I've been thinking about doing this for awhile. After much urging from the chat room, and with the permission of Krin, I decided every week I'm going to list a few things I like on Netflix (or Hulu.. or PBS.. or whatever.) I'm going to try to have a theme each week. If you have a particular area of interest, PLEASE post it and ping me if you would like me to do a week on that. ^_^ Also if you would like on the ping list for this, let me know.
P.S. if you have vision problems, so do I! I -listen- to most of these documentaries because I can't see them very well. They're great for that too :)
So this week I have 4 I picked up (although one is many episodes)

First up is a Ken Burns single episode called The Address. It's about a school of boys who need to learn the Gettysburg Address in full. All of these kids have some learning disability that is worked with by the school. It's a very good show, and if you watch it you'll probably learn alot. LOL maybe even the Address itself ;)
The second is a nature flick call The Gathering Swarms. Which I KNOW sounds like bugs, but it's mostly not bugs I promise, it's like birds and bats and fish and other things. It's an awesome flick.
Third is G-Dog, it's about the Jesuit priest who founded Homeboy Industries in California. If you've shopped at like Ralphs go pick up some of their chips and salsa (you lucky dogs you I want some!)
Fourth is a Ted Talks set

This is the Ancient Clues set, covering all sorts of interesting ideas. If you've never heard of Ted Talks you're missing out! (I will likely be including one of these sets each week) they're an AMAZING. TED stands for "Technology, Entertainment and Design." What they do is come together once a year and do full on share of all the cool ideas out there, and how they can be used or new information about old things. Absolutely amazing :)
Anyway I hope you guys like this idea.
