Feel free to discuss and/or admit to some of your biggest failures in breeding.

Here's my story:
How do you screw up a breed that is guaranteed to be the best result possible?

That's how.

When I first was starting up, I got 2 Sylvorpas both showing one Mutation each, so no matter what would happen, my child would carry these mutations. ut, when she was just a child, I was not able to figure out the difference between Males and Females based on pictures, and I named here without even looking at the Gender, and then Shawn was named.

Still can't believe I did it. XD

I had an IF aeridini egg that I was going to use for my stat project.
And I forgot to philter it.

It hatched with Lily Tail visible and Glitter Dust carried. ;A; My other hatchlings from the SAME parents didn't even come out that way.
I sold the eggling so that the owner of one of the parents could get something she liked.

I keep telling myself it benefited both the owner of the parent and the person I sold it to.
But it's one of my extreme regrets and fails LOL.

What comes in a close tie was that I was extremely well invested in trying to be the first to breed a 6vis aeridini. Sought out all the legendary/mythical aeridinis, paid quite a bit to get ideal offspring, bought and received quite a few aeridini essences...then I took a hiatus because of school, which got me backtracked by several generations. I was pretty hard on myself for that too, so I'm doing an IF aeridini stat project to make up for it. u___u

I was pretty hard on myself and stood in my metaphorical corner for a few days to a week on both fails. ;A; Maybe if I post this, the regret will go away and I can do my projects in peace lol.

I've got to say my biggest failure is releasing project pets before I have two unrelated finished projects. Now I'm stuck with:

And nobody to create lovely babies with him. D:

I've done that to quite a few other projects, but I have two or so 6 carries left and I'm slowly breeding mates for them. <0<;;

Worst idea ever. Why.
