Im trying to get my own 4 and 6 vis pets with minimal essences interaction.

So im planning to buy some from advance search and pair them, what i am doing is this........
Let take Qitari for example.......

There's 4 pairs

Pair 1
- One has a Visible Circus Wear and nothing else
- Other has Visible Stardust Wings and nothing else

Pair 2
- The same as Pair 1 But unrelated to Pair 1
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Pair 3
- One has Visible Rainbow Mane and nothing else
- Other has Visible Icicle Mane and nothing else

Pair 4
- Same as Pair 3 but unrelated to Pair 3
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The plan is to have all pairs to pass on their VISIBLE traits as CARRIED unto their children.
For Example

Pair one Children will have Circus and Stardust as CARRIED
Pair two children will also have Circus and Stardust CARRIED

Pair 3 and 4 will also follow on their footsteps but with Rainbow Mane and Icicle Mane instead

Once I have children from Pair 1 and Pair 2 carrying both Circus and Stardust, since they will be unrelated because of their parents, i will then mix and match Pair 1 Children with Pair 2 Children for a chance to get:

Generation 3 Children with both CIrcus and Stardust but VISIBLE

Same with Pair 3 and 4, but they'll have Rainbow Mane and Icicle Mane instead.
==============
So let's say i got a few Circus/Stardust children and some Rainbow/Icicle

Here's where I have my doubts..........

For example....
Circus/Star 1
Circus/Star 2
these are brothers related and Visible traits

Rainbow/Icicle 1
Rainbow/Icicle 2
these are brothers related and Visible traits

Then I breed
Circus/Star 1 and Raindow/Icicle 1
and
Circus/Star 2 and Raindow/Icicle 2
From now on Pair 1 and Pair 2

The children from each pair will have all 4 traits as CARRIED, since they come from 2 Visible parents.
But they WILL all be cousins to each other...........

Can cousins mate without problems??
I'd hate to go all the way there only to be stuck at cousins refusing to mate
Thanks a lot!
((And no, i dont wanna do this with enchanted essences))
((Also i had troubles fiding a correct combination of carried genes at Adv Search))
((SO i thought maybe I had a better chance using 1 Vis Pets to make 2 carried pets))

Here's the best guide to breeding that I've seen, it'll get down the essences down to about 3 regular ones.

Siblings cannot mate and parent/child pairs cannot mate, but outside of that, you can mate away.

so much text, and your one question's at the very bottom xD

Can cousins mate without problems??
yes

So long as they do not share parents, they are fine.

drew up my usual breeding map

if A = circus wear,
B = stardust wings
C = rainbow mane
D = icicle mane,
and UPPERCASE letters were visibles, and lowercase letters were carried...
(and we're assuming there's no hidden carries or anything, that these are the pure traits and you're using offspring that have those traits and nothing hidden)

You essentially got everything right. I just wrote it down in simple letters so it's easier to follow. :)

It should work. And you can keep creating more "cousins" (in my notes, abcd) to breed with each other. c:

The least amount of essences required for ANY breeding (even 6 visibles) is 3 regular essences. You start with 1 male, 2 females. You breed cousins and such. As Flute mentioned, as long as they do not share parents (or are not children of the intended mate) then you're fine. Applying this rule you can bred anything with 3 regular essences.

Of course, the less essences you start with, the longer it takes to reach your goal.

Just tested first hand how unlucky can be trying to make a 3vis from two 3carried partners

Technically have like 10% chance that all mutations land on its 25% chance....

I'm gonna ditch that off and use the path we talked about here using single vis pets to start the breeding cycle since I don't even like all genes, in more after having 3vis mutations
so the 4vis plan is good enough for me ^_^
