Hi all! Like so many other talented users on this website, I like to draw. Most often, though, I'm sneaky about it. So I've created this forum as a little place to show off some of the Sylestia-related things I've drawn!
Feel free to offer comments, suggestions, etc - I love all kinds of feedback!

And here's my entry for one of the recent art contests. I'm working on getting better at drawing animals, ahha...

Oh your art is so cute!! I think it looks really nice!
You have wonderful abilities at drawing, though your animals could use a bit of work, I still think they look lovely.

I like the first one a lot, I think you composed it very well. The flowers on the staff are particularly cute. The second one is cute too; the girl eating the apple is adorable and the expressions on the pets are great. The grass is the one factor that throws off the picture to me.
I think what would bring the pictures to the next level, is putting color in the shadows and highlights. I googled a short info thingy on it. The apple example itself is not great at all, but the content is good: http://thevirtualinstructor.com/color-theory-for-highlights-shadows.html

Thank you so much for your opinions! I agree with you, that the grass in the second picture doesn't really flow with the rest of it ^^;; Backgrounds, and landscapes in particular, have never been my forte...Really the only thing I feel certain of is my grasp of human figures. But I'm working on it. :)
That link will be very helpful - I've never had the opportunity to take a real art class, so I'm very grateful for any technical knowledge people throw my way! It looks like that site has a lot of different resources, thank you so much!
