i have a pair of Vulnyx i'm breeding and I've noticed that the babies in the test breeding are displaying a visible trait(King Cheetah) that neither the parents carry or have visible. can parents have babies, that will carry traits that they don't have, successfully?

by any chance, do the parents have that trait hidden? If you breed an AB pet with an AB pet (they both have visible A, but have the B gene hidden behind it), the offspring has a chance of showing B.

Can I see the vulnyx parents you are talking about?

As Flute pointed out, your parents probably have hidden carries behind their visible trait. Since they're genetically tested, you can either copy their image link to see the code, or use the advanced search to see your own pets, and see if they have any hidden carried traits.

Using the links you provided, I used the adv search on them and got this:

(#925202) TigerLily
Gene 1: (CI) Serval Spots
Gene 2: (NN) Nothing
Gene 3: (NN) Nothing
Mutation 1: (AB) Feathered Wings
Mutation 2: (AC) Tundra Fur
Mutation 3: (NN) Nothing

(#900721) Un-named

Gene 1: (CG) Serval Spots
Gene 2: (NN) Nothing
Gene 3: (NN) Nothing
Mutation 1: (NA) Feathered Wings
Mutation 2: (NA) Tundra Fur
Mutation 3: (NN) Nothing

So the mother has a hidden marbled in G1, a hidden demon wings in M1, and a hidden nekomata tail in M2.
The father has a hidden king cheetah in G1.

So most likely, the generator test result you had where the baby showed visible cheetah in G1 was because the marbled from the mother and the king cheetah from the father got passed down in the test. So since King Cheetah is more dominant than Marbled, the test baby showed Cheetah, even when both parents are visible for Serval Spots.
