If it has a picture of Faiona, it's a Forum Game item.
Depending on what item it is, you get it from certain events.
ie those classic love birds were a participation prize from a contest from the Week of Love (I assume, not really sure)
the Rainbow Sphinx is a participation prize from one of the contests in the recent Summer Festival 2014
The Golden Sapphire Staff, Bloodstone Staff, Perfect Pastel Staff, Pink Silver Staff, Moonlit Staff, and Night Blossom Staff are Forum Game Held Items, which can be won as prizes from forum games like Trivia, Pick a Door (used to be a forum game, but still has prizes), Eggling Auction, etc.
Most criteria vary, but they tend to be prizes from games that were held at a certain time.
