I keep seeing the words "tagged pet" come up. What does that mean? Please ping if you can help! Thanks!

There are themed pets that are released during festivals, and can only be obtained during the festival weeks. These pets follow a certain colour scheme, so all the offsprings are quite guaranteed to look like the original, with a bit of colour swing.

Tagged pets refer to tagged themed pets. Which means these are the pets that were caught from the wild during the festival. The originals. You won't be able to find tagged pets in the wild once the festival is over.

Tagged pets have its theme written in their genetics box on their profile page, and can be found using the advanced search.
Example:
(If you scroll down, she has a purple line saying "cave dweller faelora". Her theme is cave dweller.)

Offsprings of tagged, also called purebreds, will look like the theme, but has no tag (ie the purple line), and cannot be found easily in the advanced search.
Example:
(This is the daughter of the above faelora. She looks like the parents, but has no purple "cave dweller faelora" in her pet profile page)
