I am really curious on how to get others to come to my thread without actually getting into any trouble from the rules. Is there a way? I've been working hard on trying to finish it, and it's almost ready. But nobody actually responded to it, so i'm worried all my work was for nothing and i'll lose it in the thousands of pages! Sorry if this breaks any of the rules, just curious. >_<

Edit: I knew there wasn't a loop hole...oh well. I can always remake the thread maybe?

But from what I know, most people with roleplaying threads have one for the actual roleplay (in the roleplaying forum), and another for others to apply (in the find roleplayers forum). Have only been involved in a roleplay once for a short time, so I may not be the best person to answer this.

From what I've seen, quite a handful of people promote their roleplaying in the general chat. They'll either ask if anyone's interested in roleplaying, or if people like certain topics/themes that their roleplay is about (eg, zombies, warrior cats, etc)

The only advice I'll add if you're promoting your roleplay in the gen chat is to not spam or nag at people to join. Just ask once in a while, and if there's little response, just leave it as that. From what I know, not too many people are interested in roleplaying.

Basically you act, depending on what it's about.

Example: Pokemon

Went to look at said rules, which directed me to look through the terms and conditions again. Lol.

If you're talking about this term "You may not use our forums or chat services for any form of recruiting or advertising for any game of any types. However, discussing said games is allowed" I believe it's referring to outside games, other gamesites, and not internal games, games within sylestia/games in the forums. It would make more sense. =P
