Is there any particular areas with more pet encounters than others?

edit: Also, is it possible to find Epics and Legendaries in the old zones? Or just Astryl's Vale?

I'm not sure about the pet encounters, since I don't explore the regions much.

But I heard legendaries are not available in the old zones. I think epics are. Not too sure. =/

I've found three noteworthy epics in the Dungeon of the Foresaken

but I haven't seen them in any other old zones. Do they appear during bandit raids, or are those only rare/uncommon?

Ultimately though I'd hunt in the Dungeon of the Foresaken if I wanted epic pets from the old zone.

Epics only show up at lvl50+.
So yeah, you can only find em at Dungeon of Forsaken in the old zones, and practically everywhere else with the new interface.

If you find an epic in the old zone, it's always 2vis.
Otherwise in new interfaces, it can be mixed.

I remember asking Krin about it a long time back about why I only found epics in Dungeon of Forsaken back when even strong traps didn't exist, and lvl50 was the cap at which they started appearing. (I don't have a quote, it was that long ago aha)

I don't think I've seen a legendary or mythical in dungeon of forsaken (it's probably impossible to find em in low level zones except for festival zones).
definitely possible to find them in the new interfaces though.
