I'm not sure if the chat works on my sister's IPad, but I'll ask her if it does. I only get to use the internet when I'm visiting/staying over at her house.

You may know the answer to this question, what's the best way to get pets? Like the wheel pets, or themed pets?

To answer your question, if you're looking specifically for themed/wheel pets, you can only get them during festivals(the most recent being the summer fest a few weeks back, and the next being the autumn fest, most likely some time in october i think?).
During festivals, there will be pets with a rather fixed set of colours, and a special tag on them - the themed/wheel pets. Themed pets will be running around the festival zone, and you can catch them if you encounter them. Wheel pets can be won from spinning the wheel available during festivals. BUT there is a very very low chance of winning one. That's why they're so rare and valuable.

Outside of festivals, the only way you can get them is to buy them from others. If you go to the advanced search, or the pet sale/auction forum, you should be able to find some. They will be more expensive than the average pet. Wheel pets especially are very expensive. You can buy the tagged original pets (if people are selling them), or more likely, buy the purebred offsprings of these, which are cheaper. You might have to check the parentage of the offspring to verify they are purebred though.


For average pet, you can get them from capturing them in the wild when exploring, breeding, finding essences and making them, or buying them from others.

If you want to catch them, be prepared to spend quite some money on traps, since it doesn't usually work on first try, and some times, don't work at all. So you can waste traps on a wild pet, only to have it run away. xP

Finding essences can be quite hard as their drop rate is quite low. You can get them through nurturing egglings/hatchlings, fighting, or through mission satchels. Or you could buy them from other players in the trade broker.

The fastest way to get pets is by buying from others.Again, the advanced search and sale/auction forum is a good way to buy/ sell pets. Normal pets can be quite cheap, depending on the breed and the number/type of traits it has.
